The aim of this student competition is to generate design solutions that optimize the whole living environment so that everyone in the community regardless of his limitations can participate equally.
The focus of the competition is `Design for All/Universal Design` the origin of which lies in the empowerment and mainstreaming of persons with disabilities.
Students are expected to design a building for Composite Regional Center for Persons with Disabilities, at Patna, which can server as a model example of Universal Design in India. The students are encouraged to think beyond the traditional practice of designing for an able bodied standard user, and design for real life diverse users with and without functional limitations
Submission Requirements:
Students can participate in a group of maximum of four students
Participant’s year of study will not have any importance with reference to the submission.
All entries must be on A1 size sheet maximum 5 Nos.
There is no restriction on media of presentation The drawings can be hand drafted or CAD drawings. 3D views and free hand sketches will be considered equally for marks.
A brief report of not more than 500 words.
